About Morven

Morven is a lady with a driving talent which surges through her body, reaches out and explodes with colour onto the canvas. This talent she harnesses into producing inspired paintings, and she is not just your average dabbler. Far from it!! she is fast becoming a noticeable success, exhibiting her works far and wide, anyone with a decreeing eye should own a Morven painting,placing it where it can be enjoyed.

Brought up in Fife Scotland, Morven found the wondrous landscapes thereabouts instilled in her a longing to paint and in order to achieve her ambition she tutored under the guidance of well known artist Oscar Goodall,it is to him she is indebt for most of her knowledge, her use of colour and her wealth of artistic experience.

Now her experience is passed onto others, through her classes at Barnfield College,Luton Beds. She runs several classes and workshops. of which the most Successful and longest running is Painting For The Petrified. Would be artist would say "I am terrified to put paintbrush to paper" - Hence the title.

Morven specializes in animal portraits but enjoys painting all sorts of subjects, and works in differing styles. Her animal portraits are worked mostly in oils, and she would describe working in watercolors as "Having a love affair with watercolors". She will paint any subject for you be it The Church you where married in. The house you live in. Human Portraits Animal Portraits, or a Fantasy scene. Or perhaps you would like a painting in the style of your favorite impressionist.

With a husband who is himself an artist in his own right, he understands when the adrenaline starts pumping. Morven is a sure winner. Especially when she reaches for her palette, which for her holds the colours which add zest and magic to her life, and hopefully provide enjoyment to others.

With a Morven Painting here and there, even the most hard working person can feel the tensions of the day melt away when they gaze upon it's harmonious tones.
